An Important Update from Lori...

To my past, present and future kettlebell friends and family -

I wanted to make you aware I will be taking a short sabbatical in 2023.  

​Maria and Alex from yegkettlebells.com have generously offered to take over all my classes during this time. Please check their website for Free Class Dates and what the upcoming schedule looks like.

I love teaching and will miss you all greatly, but it's my intention to see you again in the spring. Stay healthy and happy.

About Kettlebells

Kettlebells are efficient and highly effective for burning fat, building strong lean muscles, enhance cardiovascular fitness without running, hone body mechanics, promote physical self-awareness, improve posture and flexibility and are easy on the joints.  

Beginner participants will learn the proper form, techniques and breathing to master the 
Swing, Turkish Get Up, Windmill, Clean and the Snatch while getting a workout at the same time!  

Experienced participants will apply the foundational exercises they’ve learned in a fun and highly effective workout. ​



​What are 'Kettlebells'?
A ‘kettlebell’ or girya (Russian) is a traditional Russian cast iron weight that looks like a cannonball with a handle. 
Researchers at the Lesgaft Physical Culture Institute in Leningrad Shevtsova (1993) discovered that kettlebell training lowers the heart rate and the blood pressure.  Gomonov (1998) concluded that “Exercises with kettlebells enable one to quickly build strength, endurance, achieve a balanced development of all muscle groups, fix particular deficiencies of build, and they also promote health.” ​
